Bright Angel was so named because of the clear running stream that flows through that canyon. I lay in that stream for almost and hour at a time. Keely and the other campers there also spent in the stream as well. The temperature reached 120 during the day. I either lay on my mattress or in the stream when the biting flies got to be too much.
