This is the Oriental Pearl TV tower, the new symbol of Shanghai. Getting there was not easy, there is no direct route from downtown Shanghai. Still, the taxi cost was only ¥20, about $2.50, we just had to go all the way down that way to cross a bridge, then come all the way back when it was only about half a mile away to begin with.
