On the way back up to Mesa Verde, we decided to eat dinner in Cortez. Jim and I had seen this place, the "Purple Sage" as we passed through town earlier. I started saying how any place with a 12 foot cow in front has to be a good restaurant and finally everyone agreed to eat here. It was terrible. The service sucked, the food was average at best, and it was just a bad scene all the way around. DO NOT EAT AT THE PURPLE SAGE
