We started by making the planks Wednesday evening. On Monday morning, we did final sanding and painted the outside Doeskin and the inside, breasthooks and rub rails Oregon Train (very appropriate colors if you ask me.) I brought the canoe back to Salem and we plan on launching for a 60 mile, 2 day trip on the Willamette river on June 19th, a week after beginning construction. |
