Whislt driving, I saw these Trumpeter Swans basking in the morning sun's glow. I learned about Trumpeter Swans as a child, when Dad took us goose hunting at Summer lake. The rules were simple: Snow Goose = SHOOT. Anything Else = NO SHOOT. Trumpeter Swans were in the Anything Else category.
