We learned on 15ft long Vanguard sailboats - big enough to have all the parts of a bigger sailboat but small enough so any mistakes you make show up immediately. They are fast (in my opinion) and even on a day with light breezes like this one, we got up and sustained 5mph for a bit. This shot shows me and Linda, my boatmate, coming up to round a course buoy.
