When we got to the 3rd and final strake, things went really badly. The planks did not fit together, and I was about to scrap the whole thing, but then I remembered the Vikings used to build these things out of trees with nothing more than axes and hand powered drills. I decided to overlap the planks, mark it, and shave off the excess.
