We ended at Black Bar ranch 10 miles from our starting point. Black Bar was named after a guy who got killed because he tried to steal his mining partner's woman. His mining partner was Dutch Henry, and ol' Dutch had habit of killing people and getting away with it. That was back in the day when 'He needed killin' was a valid legal defense.
