Low light and lots of fast moving targets do not make for good pictures. It is cool watching the birds take off in the morning - it happens in 2 large waves. The first wave is made up of the birds sitting on the tops of the trees, then, about 5 minutes later, a second wave of birds that had been sleeping inside the branches takes off.
