We discussed burning it right side up or upside down, finally settling on right side up. It just seemed like the correct way to do it. We dragged it into place, then filled it with bits of the smashed up boat and other pieces of wood we found on Greg's property. Greg lives in a swamp and it was the first of January, so every scrap of wood was completely soaked with water.
