The one and only time I had ever seen a Bayliner Buccaneer was at a distance and it was on my very first sail, ever. The guy I was sailing with pointed it out and said 'See that fat scow of a Winnebago with a sail on it? That's a Buccaneer - the worst sailboat ever produced. It is made by a powerboat company so powerboaters can pretend they are sailors..'

Boy, he wasn't far off - that is one beamy 24ft sailboat. And with 7 or 8 feet of freeboard, she ought to sail like a Dixie Cup (that's a bad thing.)
