This was another long day of sailing in the ICW. The winds were blowing very strong and seemed to be blowing stronger as the day progressed.

The people at the Padre Island Yacht Club (PIYC) were just great The head guy (sorry, don't know the right term or name) was having kids ferry us back and forth in an inflatable and club members were taking people in to town for dinner and supplies. Everyone was very kind and helpful.

Neither Jason nor I could negotiate the upwind run to the Yacht Club, but John W sailed in like a champ. Everyone cheered him on.

From here, the route got confusing for me. There were 3 possible passages, but Jason and I could only follow one - one which no one else (except John W) could go. If we went, we'd be on our own. John didn't know which route he was going to take. Jason and I were kind of left standing around, stinking up our thumbs. We packed it in for the night and went to sleep, still not sure what we were going to do.

The wind just kept howling and howling.
