Way up ahead, we saw a disturbance. Something large was running into the river. Then it did a flip and splashed into the water and we reasoned it was a human. I suggested it had to be a guy (because no woman would do something like that at 8am.)

As we neared, we noticed the human was fairly uniformly colored and we figured he was skinny-dipping. By the time we were close enough to take this picture (at 10x extreme) he was putting on his clothes and by the time we reached him, he was fully clothes and waving to us.
