This photo shows some of the diversity in the PDR class: David is flying a 82sqft Balanced Lugsail while John Kohnen in Grayhound (no hull number yet) has a 59sqft Leg-o-Muttonlaced to his mast. Off in the distance, you see Hal Coville acting as Master and Commander of Jim Randolph's recently completed Reeder Beach Rocket #247. The Reeder Beach Rocket is hoisting a 51sqft Chinese Lug. The Reeder beach Rocket had a minor setback prior to the race - her rudder had floated away in the night and Jim has hastily made a new one out of a 1x12.
