The next morning we drove the Wildlife Loop and saw the usual cast of characters (hundreds of turkeys, dozens of deer, tens of antelopes, a pretty big herd of buffalo, and even a coyote.) What I didn't see was feral burros - burros that were turned loose 70 years ago or some such. This was the only donkey I saw, and it was in a pasture with a regular horse.
