I looked out over the windward side of the island and saw Goose and the cartopper engaged in some activity. Soon enough, they separated and Mike and his cartopper came to the beach while Goose sailed away.

Mike told me his cartopper had turtled and had lost its mast and sail during the ensuing rescue. I wasn't surprised - the wind was really howling and the cartopper isn't really designed for TX200 conditions. (neither are PDRs.)
