Water drained and 1000lbs lighter, we were able manhandle the Petrel onto the trailer. Greg and I had acquired the Petrel from another Coot, Case, a few years ago when we thought it might be a good boat for the Everglades Challenge. It was a rough boat then, and even rougher now. Also on the trailer was a 10 or 11ft kayak that someone had built out of 1/2" plywood and then let soak up rainwater for several years. It weighed 200lbs if it weighed an ounce.
