The wind picked up as we entered Indian Key and who did we see but the crew of that Sea Pearl the Brogan They we already headed out again! How did they get passed us? No matter, we needed to cross Chokoloskee Bay and get to the second checkpoint.

Back at Tampa, we had picked up fellow Texas200 veteran and budding author Tom. He had the truck and followed us from checkpoint to checkpoint, interviewing participants and helping out along the way. This duty was very strenuous - he got to sit on the beach and talk to pretty girls while we battled the elements.

It had taken us 31 hours to get here.
