We ran into trouble on the very first channel at Murry's Key. The wind was right in our teeth and the channel was all of 20ft wide. I tried rowing, but the wind and current were against us, so I abandoned that. Then I lost an oar and had to jump overboard to get it. Finally, I tried walking the boat along the channel, but what with the wind and the muck, it was just too hard.
