| When I turned around and headed back upwind,
I ran into trouble. During the drive down, the halyard block had shifted
backwards on the yard (yes, those are all English words and that sentence
does make sense.) That, and my not putting enough tension on the downhaul
(also an English word) made it so I had a rough time going to windward.
Then, just for funsies, add the fact that the wind swirls around inside
the bay like water in a toilet bowl, and it made for a long, difficult
slog back. |
