A Weekender is a plywood skiff disguised as a Friendship Sloop, and it looks like a little pirate ship to me. Because she looks like a ship of war, I am naming her the Queen Boadicea after one of my dogs. Darrell Pepper, one of my boat building buddies, is a wood carver and fellow Schnauzer owner. I commissioned a figurehead for my boat, and this is the design he came up with.
