Every great sailing adventure has the crew breakfasting on flying fish that have come aboard overnight. Well, that night, I was steering our course when what happened but a type of flying fish came leaping into our boat. The little bugger was about 9 inches long and had an inch and a half lower jaw.

It was a Ballyhoo, a fish that 'flies' by popping out of the water and maintaining speed by skimming with its tail. Rather than eat him, I tossed back in so he can startle some other sailor.
