Mike and I started out early. The wind had backed around to the northeast,
so we had a nice run out the channel with out needing to tack.
Lagunas are very shallow draft boats, so I hadn't spent much time examining
the charts. I should have gotten the hint when the rest of the fleet
stayed closer to the mainland. Mike and I headed out to the shallower
- more protected - waters near the barrier islands.
